Saturday was wedding day of course.
Amanda was simply stunning. She looked like a queen and glowed all day. :) I was so excited for her.... All of us bridesmaids started getting ready around noon and in the meantime everyone one else did all the last minute preparations. At 3:00, all the girls (with the exception of Kel who was taking pictures) got up to sing while the mothers walked down the aisle and lit the candles. Then Charity started playing "How Beautiful" and the processional began. Amanda's little niece, who was a flower girl, cried all the way down. It was adorable and everyone was cracking up. Then the trumpet started to play along and the doors swung open and there was Amanda. I couldn't hold back the tears as she glided down on her Dad's arm. (Poor Jana....I can't imagine how hard it must be to see your best friend get married! Wonderfully sad and yet so happy.) It seemed as if the ceremony was over in a flash and Amanda and Jonathan were rushing down the aisle as Mr and Mrs Wells (after a big kiss) in no time at all. They disappeared right away for about 5 or 10 minutes! LOL
The reception (which was also at the church) was beautiful. The food was wonderful. Around 5 or 6, Amanda and Jonathan finally got to sit down and eat after greeting everyone. I would say it was about 6 or 7 when she finally threw the bouquet (which Venessa caught! LOL) and they dashed past the bird seed and into the waiting limo. However, they had plans to drive around just a little while and then come back to spend a little more time with everyone who stayed before they offically left. Everyone started cleaning and packing up.
Amanda and Jonathan came back and opened gifts, hung out, took a ton more pictures (by Kelly) and then several of us went out to fill the limo with ballons and a little decorations again for their final departure. It must have been around 9 before they were ready to say their final goodbyes. Amanda was so cute! We were all standing outside to throw birdseed again (haha) and she first came to individually thank and hug each of us goodbye before taking her final dash away with her handsome prince. It was a beautiful, very personal intimate wedding. -- Melody
